The Friendship Journey partners with the Broward Center for the Performing Arts to provide unique performing arts experiences, along with covering
and classes, to foster a love for the theater without barriers. The Broward Center for the Performing Arts offers Sensory-Inclusive Performances, All Abilities Classes, and interactive performing arts experiences for friends of all ages and abilities. Sensory Inclusive Performances are professional shows that create a welcoming and supportive environment for neurodiverse friends, including those with sensory support needs. Slight adjustments have been made to the production including reduced sound levels, no flashing or strobe lights, no “shushing,” minimal special effects, and a break room with trained therapists to provide audience support.
